Quinten Lynn, Ph.D.
Originally from Reno, Dr. Quinten Lynn studied the psychology of religion and sport psychology at Bowling Green State University where he earned his Doctorate in clinical psychology. After completing his internship at Brigham Young University and a post-doctoral fellowship at Kansas State University’s Counseling Center, K-State’s Athletic Department funded a new position to retain his services. Later, Louisiana State University hired Dr. Lynn as their Director of Sport Psychology where he provided clinical and sport performance services to their athletes and coaches.
After being away from family and the mountains for over two decades, Dr. Lynn returned to Reno to start a private practice in 2017, then created a group practice, Mt. Rose Counseling and Wellness, in 2021.
Since moving back to Reno, Dr. Lynn’s practice has evolved to working with individuals in high accountability professions, helping people through spiritual struggles, and supporting men with their unique issues. Dr. Lynn is currently transitioning from a therapy model of service to a consultation model where he draws on his 20 years of experience as a therapist and high-performance psychologist to serve his clients.
Dr. Lynn has been married for over 26 years and his four children are in different stages of living at home and moving away. He enjoys spending as much time outside as possible and strongly believes in the therapeutic benefits of nature. Now that he is home in Reno, he is taking full advantage of the mountains where he enjoys trail running, mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding, and early morning paddles on Lake Tahoe. He also recently caught the triathlon bug.
