Courtney Mayer, MA, MFT-Intern
My name is Courtney, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. My educational background includes a BA in Psychology with a specialization in research, and an MA in Marriage, Family, and Couples Counseling from the University of Nevada, Reno. I am passionate about assisting individuals who are seeking treatment for anxiety, eating disorders, depression, relational issues, and trauma. I'm also deeply dedicated to helping couples navigate relationship conflicts and life transitions.
I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space for each individual to explore their unique strengths, abilities, concerns, goals, values, and ultimately, their life story. I advocate for holistic health, and the efficacy of integrated care in treatment. Taking that first step towards seeking support is an act of courage and vulnerability, and I firmly believe that curiosity is the cornerstone of growth.
Beyond my professional life, I enjoy spending time outdoors, listening to live music, creating music of my own, and nurturing my collection of plants.
I look forward to the opportunity to walk alongside you on this journey of self-discovery.
